I love this F&*$%#n game. Fast action and quick gameplay make for a great time on the battlefield with buddies. Personally, I play on PC where one's exposure to the internet dicks is minimized to keyboarded barbs, but the game is great on all platforms. The game can be a little fustrating for a noob coming in to play the seasoned vets. If you're dying a lot. here's some thing you may be doing wrong: You’re ignoring the other players on your team. When trying to determine the enemy’s position on the mini-map, you don’t always have to look at the little red dots that indicate where the enemy is firing. This strategy is only effective if most of your enemies are not using a silencer. Luckily, there’s a far more effective way to determine the enemy’s location. Instead of looking at the enemy’s position, look at the positions of your own players. Look for gaps in locations where enemies could be hiding and move towards those locations with your weapon drawn. Also pay attention to their direction. If all your players are facing north, and you’re in the middle of the map, there’s a good chance you’ll pick up a few kills just by turning around. You’re using the wrong weapon. Picking the best weapon is no easy task. You have the option of picking from five different weapon classes, not too mention a plethora of secondary weapons, attachments and tactical weapons. Next time you’re trying to figure out the best weapon, prioritize the weapon specifications in the following order, then pick your weapon: •Damage •Accuracy •Mobility •Range •Fire rate You also need to consider: •Your goal. •The game mode you’re playing. •The map you’re playing. •Your preferred weapon firing rate. If all else fails, just pick which weapon class you want to use and then pick the best in class weapon. You’re running too much. In most First Person Shooters, running around like a chicken with its head cut off isn’t a very good strategy. While running is sometimes unavoidable, especially in objective-based game modes like Capture the Flag, you should be walking more frequently than you run. Also remember that you draw your weapon slowly when you’re transitioning from running to walking. If you insist on running, offset the negative effects by using the Quick Draw Perk, which allows you to aim faster. You’re not using a silencer. There’s not a single attachment in Modern Warfare 3 that is more effective than a Silencer. Using a silenced weapon means your position is not revealed on the enemy’s mini-map when you fire. Despite the simplicity of the silencer, and its appearance in all the Modern Warfare games, there are still far too many players that opt for less effective attachments like the ACOG Scope or Red Dot. You’re not playing from the perimeter. There’s a reason why this strategy works: it’s impossible to get killed from behind if you play with your back against the wall. Note this is not the same as camping, because you’re always moving around the map while keeping your back to the wall. This strategy is especially effective if you can sneak up on the enemy from behind their spawn point. You suck. There’s not much to be said about players that just plain suck. Like any Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3 demands you to have fast-reflexes, make snap-decisions, and analyze the enemy’s position. Some players have it; some players don’t. Have you tried Battlefield 3?
